Motion Amplification technology visualizes equipment behavior, simplifying fault diagnosis and maintenance actions. This study used it to determine the natural frequency problem of a fan bearing gap.
Vibration analysis is one of the most commonly used methods in the industry for fault diagnosis. Although the root causes of failures can be found with advanced vibration analysis methods such as phase analysis and ODS, both the time and difficulty of these methods and the understanding of complex data by everyone can be an obstacle in the creation of maintenance action plans and data-based decisions.
At this point, Motion Amplification technology makes a significant difference in detecting the root cause by visualizing the dynamic behavior of the equipment. With the motto "Seeing is believing", it enables maintenance actions to be created easily. By making the invisible visible, it makes analysis not just about numerical data.
In this study, the natural frequency problem of the fan bearing gap was determined by vibration analysis, Motion Amplification method and multi-channel analyzer.
