After continuously monitoring a persistent fault for the past few months on this motor, it was finally determined that it was necessary to uncouple and have it repaired prior to a catastrophic failure.

Reliability goes beyond finding a problem before it becomes an issue. It’s continuing the process full circle from the identification to the tear down/failure analysis to the final acceptance of the asset being recieved.

The importance of having a strong reliability team that not only knows how to read a spectrum, but truly understands the principles of predictive maintenance is crucial from a cost and safety standpoint for any enterprise.
