SHAFT CURRENT-INDUCED BEARING FAILURE

In variable speed motors, arc formation is seen in the thin oil layer between the rotating elements due to sudden frequency changes. Due to these arcs, "FROSTING" traces, which are the initial phase of the "FLUTING" failure, occur. It does not prevent the equipment from operating in the short term, but in a planned stop, bearing replacement should be performed and arcing should be prevented.
