While reviewing vibration data on one of our belt conveyor gearboxes, I noticed increasing activity at the 2x and 3x gear mesh frequencies.

The waterfall plot below shows a steady rise in these peaks, which can indicate misaligned gears, possibly caused by bearing wear. It's a clear sign that something's developing inside the gearbox.

This is exactly why routine condition monitoring matters. It gives us the chance to act early, avoid surprises, and keep things running smoothly.

When the spectrum starts talking, it’s best to listen.
