Blower Bearing Outer Race Defect
Routine inspection detected a defect in the LOA bearing of the blower. Preventive maintenance during a scheduled shutdown avoided higher expenses and confirmed the defect.

In a routine inspection, an increase in the overall value was detected with a defect characteristic in the external raceway of the LOA bearing of the blower.
In this sense, maintenance planning was carried out, taking advantage of a scheduled shutdown carried out by production. Thus, the gain of acting preventively on the equipment was obtained, avoiding a possible higher expense.
After maintenance, the overall values dropped and the defect represented by spectrum was confirmed!
