Blower Motor Bearing Defect Identification

A possible NDE-bearing defect was identified on a motor/blower assembly during a site visit. The bearings were replaced, and a report on the root cause of the defect was sent to the client to prevent future occurrences.

Hey everyone, we have been working super hard in the run-up to the festive period making sure all our customers are in the best place to relax and enjoy their break.

During one of our recent site visits, we identified a
possible NDE-bearing defect on a motor/blower assembly. we recommend the
bearings were replaced to eliminate a possible unexpected failure

The client acted quickly and removed and fitted new bearings
both DE and NDE. The bearings were kept for us to investigate the defects of the NDE.

We have now sent the client a report on the root cause
of the defect to pass on the knowledge and prevent such a defect in the future.

For me, this is a huge part of what we do as reliability Engineers. Not only is it our passion to discover hidden issues but also be able to physically show them and pass on fixes for the future of the plant.

what do you guys think is wrong? would love to see
some suggestions.
