Exhaust Fan Bearing Sealing Fault

Abnormal noise from the exhaust fan’s LA bearing was detected, likely caused by detached sealing felt. The treatment involves daily monitoring, a boiler shutdown for bearing replacement, and collaboration with production and support teams.

Equipment: Trailing exhaust fan, mixed boiler. Critic A
Anomaly: Abnormal noise detected by the utilities team one week after the last vibration analysis collection.
Treatment: I was called for a new collection and analysis of spectra.
Result: Carpet with high amplitude in acceleration in the LA bearing of the exhaust fan compared to the previous analysis.
Cause: Detachment of the sealing felt from the bearing, it mixed with the grease and entered the bearing.
Final treatment: daily monitoring to prevent the bearing from locking, and we ask for the boiler to stop next weekend after analysis and we change the bearings and bearings.
Good example of well-used techniques and well-done planning in partnership with production and support areas.
