Air blower motor balancing was successfully completed, reducing vibration from 52mm/sec to 4.1mm/sec. The final balancing weight of 50 grams was determined through a series of trial runs.
Successful completed balancing of Air blower overhung type motor directly coupled to impeller, operating at 3600RPM, today 13th Dec2023 for our client in Saudi Arabia, initial vibration was 52mm/sec,RMS , reduced the vibration to 4mm/sec.
Job was done in three point circle method, due to non availability of tachometer
- Initial trial run measured highest vibration level of 52mm/sec on the motor DE side vertical direction.
• Trial mass weight of 43grams were added to impeller at location A, trial run measured highest vibration 50mm/sec,
• Trial mass weight (43grams) removed and placed at location B of the impeller, during trial run measured vibration
of 88mm/sec.
• Trial mass weight removed from location B and placed at location C, during the trial run measured highest vibration
of 37mm/sec.
• After final calculation of the above trial run, derived final required balancing weight of 60 grams which need to place at around 50° angle from location C towards to location A.
• Test trial run carried out found vibration level only reduced from 52 to 27mm/sec, so we decided to reduce further the final balancing weight from 60 to 50 grams, same was done.
• Final test run carried out; vibration level further reduced from 27 to 4.1mm/sec.
