Vibrational data analysis after aligning the motor and reducer shafts revealed uniformity in speed and displacement levels, with small oscillations proportional to the operating load. A spectral highlight indicated clearance/rubbing in the bearing on the driven side, recommending a bearing change.
Success case: Analysis of vibrational data and assertiveness in the diagnosis of the bearing on the driven side of the Main Motor of the ball mill after intervention (Alignment between motor and reducer shafts).
Main Motor (LAC): After intervention (Alignment between bearings shafts on the motor and reducer side) we saw that the equipment maintains uniformity in the levels of speed (mm/s) and displacement (μm) followed by small oscillations proportional to the operating load at the time of data collection. Spectral highlight for drop in amplitude and increase in area in the vicinity of the fundamental background noise/carpet, followed by Inter, sub and more defined harmonics (1/5 X, 1/2 X/ and 3rd harmonic) characterizing clearance/rubbing in the bearing on the driven side.
Recommendation:
Change bearing bearing side drive of the main motor.
