Vibration and MCA Together to Find Potential Electrical Issue

Vibration analysis and MCA were used to cross-reference data, revealing a 120Hz signal indicating a potential electrical issue. The Elektron MCA 460V was installed to monitor electrical data, leading to a DR recommending motor reconditioning.

I’d like to share another great catch where we were able to cross-reference data from two techniques: vibration analysis and MCA, both conducted online.
Initially, the data revealed a 120Hz signal in the spectrum, indicating a potential electrical issue. Following that, we installed the Elektron MCA 460V to monitor the electrical data more precisely. This allowed us to identify the specific electrical frequencies, and we issued a DR recommending motor reconditioning.
The technology is incredible, two different techniques, online, both talking, this brings an incredible gain, speed, and precision combined.
