Another NDE Insulated bearing with fluting defects of a 1000kw motor.
Bearing life so far was 5 years since installation.
Now installed with Carbon brush on DE side but electric discharges still detected. If installing carbon ring will extend the bearing life to 2-3 years, for me that's acceptable.
What's your experience with carbon ring?
