In a vertical motor driven pump with pulley and belt arrangement what could be the reason of 2X dominant peak [only single peak with no harmonics] on the motor in radial direction?
Acceleration values also do not suggest any bearing faults, amplitude is high at 23 mm/s and during initial troubleshooting hold down bolts checked, and no looseness found. 2X line frequency is also ruled out since electrical frequency is 50Hz [2XLF=100Hz] and motor running speed is 750 RPM [2X=25Hz]. This is a one leg equipment, and we are planning to take a little downtime and check pulleys alignment and belt tension. Should we go for MCEMAX testing?
