We're often asked why we take acceleration data up to 25,600Hz when the dynamic range of the typical accel is 10,000Hz? Here's the answer.
We can measure and see energy very close to the lower ultrasound range threshold, indicating increased friction and potential lubrication issues, as well as the various bearing resonances. This is a motor DE bearing and after subsequent lubrication returned to normal levels.

Using the ADASH A4500 VA5PRO we can capture this data across 4 channels concurrently, giving us a deeper insight than a typical acceleration FFT, more concise fault diagnosis and separation of lubrication and bearing damage.
