First noticing signs of wear back in January, Nelson closely monitored the bearing shown below with both #Ultrasound #ConditionMonitoring & #VibrationAnalysis.

While the bearing could have been changed out in March, due to production needs, its life was pushed until the next planned shutdown in June.

By carefully watching over this asset with two trusted condition monitoring technologies, Nelson was able to ensure the bearing safely & reliably made it to the next planned shutdown without disrupting production.

As seen in the #Vibration & Ultrasound data, we can observe this bearing has some mechanical looseness & lots of repeated impacting.
