The Partnered Ultrasound team found an outer race defect on this pocket roll bearing using an SDT340 & UAS3, and then confirmed the BPFO defect with harmonics. We recommended changing the bearing because the defect frequencies were prevalent in velocity.
The bearing is an SKF 22312 on a paper machine, spinning at about 550 RPM/1500 ft/min.
