This 14-inch diameter paper roll bearing has experienced some serious wear & tear over its years of service to the #CanadianPaperIndustry. The defect was found by the Partnered Ultrasound team, and then closely monitored with an SDT340, UAS3, and #vibrationanalysis. You can see both the hashtag#Vibration & hashtag#Ultrasound data below.
Knowing that failure was inevitable, the Partnered Ultrasound team monitored the bearing until it became unstable to ensure, maximizing the asset's lifespan.
